When you and I walk down the street and we pass another person, we have a temporary interaction between ourselves and that other person. And that interaction creates a complex mixing and interweaving of the energies between the two of us at that moment in time.
What is interesting is that that interaction is not static. In other words, any time I pass that same person, we will have a different set of particles interaction. This is because we are both moving through time and space at every moment and each of our systems is continuously changing.
Many people are very aware of the effects of the Full Moon on human behavior with possible increases in car accidents, violent acts, sleeplessness and more.
Unlike the moon, the outer planets like Saturn, Uranus and Neptune move much slower in reference to planet Earth so the experience of these planet's energies is spread out over a longer time. This helps to explain why (for instance) Jack and Jane might be madly in love with each other, get married and five or six years later want a divorce. The reason this happens is because when Jack and Jane met, the planets moving overhead created an energetic connection between the two of them. But as these planets moved, that original energetic connection dissipated with the movement of the planets.
Often when two people fall madly in love suddenly, there is a connection created by transiting Uranus. But when Uranus moves off that position, the connection disappears. The two people are left wondering how they got together in the first place.
Relationships that last have connection points that exist between the two people that can be found in the combination of their astrological birth charts. Saturn is often the glue that keeps people together. Consider though, that that glue might hold two people together who do not even like each other. This helps to explain how couples can stay married and be unhappy.
The I Ching Systems instruments have to account for the dynamic nature of this universe. Otherwise, they could not work to restore balance. They have to be able to detect the energetic difficulty a person is having at any given moment in time. The difficulty you might have today will not be the same tomorrow even though the feelings might feel similar.
In my social worker training, I was taught to treat relationships as if they were static and not dynamic. I was taught to diagnose a couple seeking help as if their relationship was not in continuous motion. This is very limiting to say the least. I saw people who were having difficulties in their marriage blame themselves or their partners for the difficulties without knowing to take into account all the changes they had gone through individually and collectively as they moved through time and space. The original interweaving of particles that formed that relationship had been reorganized for a multitude of reasons. So the original interweaving that brought that couple together no longer exists.
I still hear people at our Seminars talk about divorces that took places years and maybe even decades ago with great ongoing guilt and remorse. But this is only because they could not see how the changes in their connections to that spouse were reorganized energetically over time making it difficult and maybe humanly impossible to continue the relationship at least without a certain amount of strain.
With Valentines last Sunday, it is a great time to consider our relationships. There is never a perfect relationship. There are always sacrifices that must be made and those sacrifices should support your individual well-being as much as possible. And remember the relationships you have with family and friends will be a very different interweaving of energies a year from now.
